Medical education
Our practice is fortunate in being approved to provide training in general practice for experienced doctors who wish to become general practitioners. There is usually at least one such specialist trainee working with us at any one time.
Medical students and nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students learn about general practice. Rest assured you will be informed of their presence in advance, so if you do not want them to be present at the consultation, your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
As part of training, you may be asked for permission to record your consultation. This will be used for training and assessment of the doctor and handled in line with data protection guidelines and then deleted. You may refuse to be recorded and this will not affect your consultation.
